What is Love?

When the Lewis family arrived home, Lisa was quiet, which was unusual for her.
Lisa said, “Mom and Dad, we had an interesting story in children’s ministry today. They were talking about what it was like after Jesus went back to Heaven. The Holy Spirit came to the people.”

Mr. Lewis said, “That sounds exciting.”

Lisa said, “There was something else that started to happen that I was curious about. The Bible says that all the people were sharing things. I don’t know what I have to share.”

Mrs. Lewis suggested, “Lisa, why don’t you consider using your drawing skills. Consider how you can use your skills to love your neighbor.”

Lisa responded, “Thanks, Mom. I really like that idea.”

Lisa asked Larry, “Doesn’t Grandpa have pictures in his living room? Maybe I could borrow a few of them and practice sketches.”

Larry responded, “Yea, that’s a good idea, Lisa. How about if you and I stop by his house this afternoon. Maybe he will let you borrow some of his pictures.”

Lisa asked, “Do you think that will be OK, Mom and Dad? Can we go to see Grandpa, or should we call him on the phone first?”

Mr. Lewis responded, “It would be a good idea to call him first.”

Lisa asked Grandpa on the phone, “Hi, Grandpa. Would it be OK for me and Larry to stop by this afternoon for a visit?”

Grandpa responded, “Sure. You can come over now if you want to.“

Lisa said, “OK. We will be over in a few minutes.”

Larry called Charlie on the phone, “Hey, Charlie. Lisa and I are going to visit Grandpa, now. Do you want to come?”

Charlie answered, “Sure. I will meet you there.”
